Award Category: The Pride in Place Award

For towns and locations across Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland.

This award recognises the offering of a specific location across Greater Lincolnshire or Rutland. With a focus on offering an outstanding tourism provision for visitors, the nominated town should be seen to have a community focus, with all aspects of the town driven towards welcoming visitors and supporting residents, be that through regular events, workshops, attractions, retail or hospitality provisions as well as how the town and businesses present themselves. 

Eligibility criteria

  • A town or location may be nominated by a local authority, community trust and local representative group or body. 

Judging process

  • Apply for this category using the application form. 
  • A judge will be required to visit the location referenced in the application via a pre-announced visit.  
  • Nominations are invited from across the Greater Lincolnshire and Rutland tourism industries.

NB: This category does not go through to the VisitEngland national awards.
